Age is just a number, and we're well prepared to get you moving and grooving in no time!
Many people are apprehensive to take their children to a chiropractor because they think of the “snap, crackle, pop” that most adults experience when they visit a doctor of chiropractic. However, the techniques and approach that we have towards children and infants is very different than that of adults. Dr. Clift has several techniques that are gentle and are performed with a very light touch. It is not a manual adjustment comparable to what adults receive when they visit a chiropractor. Dr. Clift is well experienced and has helped many children to resolve their various health and behavioral issues with chiropractic.
During pregnancy, there are several physiological and endocrinological changes that occur in preparation for creating the environment for the developing baby. Establishing pelvic balance and alignment is another reason to obtain chiropractic care during pregnancy as when the pelvis is misaligned it may reduce the amount of room available for the developing baby. This restriction is called intrauterine constraint. A misaligned pelvis may also make it difficult for the baby to get into the best possible position for delivery which can affect the mother’s ability to have a natural, non-invasive birth. Breech and posterior positions can interfere with the natural ease of labor and lead to interventions such as c-sections.
Many people who are injured in an auto accident do not even think to see a chiropractor. However, chiropractic care after a car accident is the best solution for most people because it does not involve drugs or surgery. Obviously broken bones, lacerations, or bruising will be easy injuries to spot after a car crash. However, there are other injuries such as whiplash that are not always immediately apparent; in most cases it takes hours or a few days to feel the symptoms of whiplash, such as dizziness, headaches, soreness, or pain in the upper back and neck. Micro-tears in the ligaments and muscles are also a common injury, and unfortunately, often go untreated due to not being visible in x-ray findings. This can lead to the formation of scar tissue on the muscles, limited range of motion and preventing proper healing. With chiropractic care, we can specifically target the damaged areas, breaking up the scar tissue faster and expediting the healing process.
